Harry Winston set up in business in New York, in 1920. Twelve years later, he opened his first store there, laying the foundations for global fame. Some of the world's most fabulous gemstones would pass through his hands, including the legendary Hope diamond. The Harry Winston brand made its first foray into time measurement in 2001 with the launch of the Opus, a series of exceptional timepieces which the brand develops in partnership with the most talented master watchmakers. Its offering has grown with prestigious collections including Project Z, Histoire de Tourbillon and Ocean. In 2013, the Harry Winston brand was acquired by the Swatch Group.
